Pedro França Liberati was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1976 to a university professor mother and a press cartoonist father. He attended an alternative school and was amazed by the miracle of life. He arrived in Paris in 1991 to accompany his mother in her studies.

He was bored at high school. After obtaining a scientific baccalaureate, he enrolled in the medical school entrance exam at the Cochin Faculty, where success required memorizing everything.

After 3 years of effort, he passed the specialty exam in surgery in Paris. During his surgical training, he would benefit from a more suitable form of learning: mentorship.

He chose urology and became Chief Resident in Paris after 5 years of residency. He married in 2008.

Recruited in 2009 by the University Hospital of La Réunion to revive the kidney transplant program, he resigned after 6 months, unable to accept the dysfunction of a hospital in crisis.

He set up practice in the city with a medical-surgical practice, performing community urology.

Father of 2 daughters aged 7 and 12, he has been separated since 2021.

This new phase offers him stimulating challenges; by questioning our lifestyles and beliefs about health, he understands that we all need an update. He feels the need to write and share.
